Our art association was established in 1994 by a group of Taiwanese-American artists and art loving hobbyists, residing in Southern California. The mission of the association is to promote and enrich the fine art culture and environment for the Taiwanese artists living in the States and to introduce member𠏋 art work to local Taiwanese as well as American communities.
The make up of our 23-art-member ranges from well know Taiwanese artists, Chen Ching Jung and Kuo Po-Shiu, to art school graduates, medical doctors, and engineers. Our work includes representative art (majority) as well as abstract and surrealistic images
In following the 20th century Taiwanese art heritage, most of the artwork shown is of westernized images. Some of the artists who have been trained in the States show distinct American style painting, particularly in watercolors. However, those who had basic art training in Taiwan present traces of Taiwanese flavor. It is interesting to observe the strong influence, form Taiwanese culture and American culture, in the art created by the local Taiwanese-Americans.
