I have spent 2 years living in Taiwan. It's a wonderful place that functions as a independent state in every capacity exept in name. Why should these people be ignored and denied recognition just becasue there is more money to be made by dealing with China ?

sure,Taiwanese people came from China before the Korean War and China was in the United Nations,so technicly,Taiwan was in the United Nations.Then came along the civil war led to the victory of China,so the people went to Taiwan who are now known as the Taiwaners.(I don't want to use the word Taiwanese because I've just heard the word Taiwanese is offensive just like Japanese and Chinese) I never understand why the USA let the communist country--China joined in.Because this was the reason that China couldn't join in the Nations,wasn't it?However,China joined in so her opponent--Taiwan then retreated from the United Nations. Now,I,who like Taiwan very much,really do hope that Taiwan can get back in again.Please hear the people's voices like these and think about this--why can't Taiwan join in the United Nations??Is it because it's not a communist country?or if it's because that China forces the other countries not to let this happen??? after all, YES is my answer.YES!!!!!! please do let Taiwan join in the United Nations!! | |

I love my people and my country. If you ever travel to Asia, please drop by and visit Formosa or Taiwan. It is an island with good and cheap high tech products, fantastic food, gorgeous landscape, and absolutely friendly people. China is very close to Taiwan and it is definitely worth visiting while planning your journey to the east! Before you begin your trip, here are some significant facts that I need to share with you! STATEMENT: Taiwan is a country. Not part of China. PROOF: (or facts) Taiwan Dollar is the currency of Taiwan. Never bring the money of China (or Ren Min Bi) to Taiwan, because you will need to exchange it for Taiwan dollar in order to make any purchases. Vice versa. A valid visa to Taiwan is not equal to a visa to China. You will need to apply for a separate visa for each of the countries (Taiwan and China). Vice versa. All over the world, never a visa office of China can provide a visa to Taiwan Visa versa. Government and president of Taiwan are different from those of China. National Anthem and flag of Taiwan are different from those of China. CONCLUSION: Support Taiwan to join United Nation (UN). Please say yes to Taiwan. | |
