(http://www.dajiyuan.com) |

這個是原始文章. 我瞧不起 WHO 遷就於支那的壓力, 對台灣不予以幫助. CDC 發佈兩種提醒. 一種是警告(alert), 一種是建議(advisory). http://www.cdc.gov/travel/other/sarstaiwan.htm Interim Travel Advisory: Taiwan -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has been working closely with the World Health Organization (WHO) and other partners to investigate cases of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The number of cases of SARS is subject to change as surveillance is heightened and cases are identified and confirmed. The current case count for the United States can be found at this web site. The case count for cases outside the United States can be found found at this site. Because SARS has spread rapidly, WHO issued emergency guidance for travelers and airlines so that ill people receive immediate health care, are brought to the attention of public health authorities, and are advised against travel while ill (see Interim Guidelines about SARS for Persons Traveling to SARS-Affected Areas and this WHO update). CDC issues two types of notices to travelers: alerts and advisories. CDC is now issuing a travel advisory for Taiwan. This decision is based on the magnitude and scope of the evolving outbreak, including a rapid increase in suspected and probable cases (see WHOs case count). In addition, there are several cases without apparent epidemiologic links, raising concern about community transmission. The Taiwan Department of Health, in conjunction with CDC, is currently investigating these cases and implementing measures to limit the spread of SARS in Taiwan. CDC advises that people planning elective or nonessential travel to Taiwan may wish to postpone their trips until further notice. Travelers to this area should be aware of possible restrictions upon arrival to Taiwan. At the time of this notice, the Taiwan government has imposed a mandatory 10-day quarantine requirement on all travelers arriving by air from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, Singapore, and Toronto. In addition, the government has suspended issuance of resident and visitor visas to people from these areas for 14 days. This restriction may be subject to change; please check the Taiwan government website for updates. CDC is distributing health alert notices about SARS to people traveling to the United States from Taiwan. Travelers to Taiwan should monitor their health while there and for at least 10 days after departure from Taiwan. If fever or respiratory symptoms (for example, cough or shortness of breath) develop, a visit to a health-care provider is strongly recommended. The provider should be informed about the symptoms in advance so arrangements can be made, if necessary, to prevent transmission to others in the health-care setting (see Updated Interim Domestic Guidelines for Triage and Disposition of Patients Who May Have SARS) When potential cases of SARS are identified on a conveyance, officials should: Notify at the earliest possible time the nearest U.S. Public Health Service Quarantine Station. http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/sars/infectioncontrol.htm Additional information on the outbreaks may be obtained by calling the CDC public response hotline at (888) 246-2675 (English), (888) 246-2857 (Español), or (866) 874-2646 (TTY), or by visiting the following websites: Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) | Travelers Health Home | Contact Us | | CDC Home | Search | Health Topics A-Z | This page last reviewed May 1 , 2003, 6:00 AM ET | Division of Global Migration and Quarantine | | CDC Privacy Policy | Accessibility | |
