南韓飛官素質亮起紅燈!

長期以來我一直認為南韓空軍的飛行員素質應該算是蠻不錯的,可是有次看到紀錄片後我卻覺得很不妙,那紀錄片是紀錄有位南韓飛官派到法國去測試疾風戰機的性能,測試前要先進行一些基本飛行技術和體能的檢測,作抗G力測試的時候,只見高速離心機加速到6個G,那名南韓飛官就昏迷了(F-16高速府衝剛好就是6個G力)接下來更扯,那名飛官和法國教官搭乘教練機,居然把飛機操縱到差點失速墜毀,幸好法國教官緊急接手,否則後果不堪設想(事後法國教官當著攝影紀錄小組的面發飆,狠狠的把南韓飛官痛罵一頓.然後摔門揚長而去)最後雖然開到疾風戰機,但是這種學習過程也未免太難堪了吧PS:會被派去測試疾風戰機的飛官應該算是高手才對,但是這高手的表現也太離譜了吧

Well, to be fair & to give some benefits of doubt to the ROKAF pilot, perhaps he really had a bad day !
Overall, however, I do feel (similiar to Mr. Yuios opening remark) that the ROKAF fighter pilots should stand at least average in terms of training, skill quality, morale, etc -- relative to other forces in Asia.
(Seeing how the S.Korean physique & team spirit performed in the last WorldCup -- I sense that the Korean people can be pretty tough --if sufficiently trained).
On the other hand, if Im wrong about the above, then maybe thats why the ROKAF is really desperate to order the T/A-50 GoldenEagle from KAI as soon as possible -- both for the S.Korean economy (& its aerospace industry) & to train up its fighter jockeys !

On another front: Although the Pakistan Air Force needs to import all sorts of planes from China, Ill have to say that the PAF (fighting skills) in general is superior to the PLAAF pilots. The PAF also tried to earn extra income by providing training to other air forces (e.g. Arabs). I read an old book one time, written by the former Israeli air commander --who went to RAF training school with the former Pakistani Air Force commander -- and gave rather high regards for his PAF counterpart.

With the constant upgrading (of existing F8IIs, F7s) & building of new generation fighters (currently --notably Su27 & J-10s), the RoCAF need to once again will need to focus on the human factor to overcome the increasing qualitative challenges imposed by the PLAAF !
RoCAF will basically need to -
[1] constantly improve its fighting skills (nice to introduce a LIFT either converting F-5E/F or launching an IDF trainer) & really know their tools well (i.e. IDF F-CK-1s, F-16s, Mirage2000-5s & F-5E/Fs)
[2] design strategies/tactics to counter the PLAAF (including Beyond visual range combat policies)
[3] Upgrade & update the combat tools (aircraft & weapons carried) on a constant basis -- within the financial means of the RoCAF.

那片不是計錄片,也不是高手
是超級電視台某子台撥的藝人體驗營
其他各集裡甚至還包含到祕魯受反恐訓練
有點像日本電視台所謂的黃金傳說節目
還有.....第一次聽到俯衝是+G的
疾風也不是他開,講個最好的該節目解釋是當時韓國有換發下一代戰機競標
達梭出錢出力個廣告秀而已

最近AWST報導 T-50居然打算裝備APG-67雷達!!

IDF整包賣他們算了(還是LM根本就是把GD參與IDF的部分整包賣過去)

Bro. Skywalker-Luke (re: NO:977_4), I feel that
the S.Korean govt often back up and support their own local aero industry whenever possible. The RoKAF, KAI, and their own govt often see each others needs and try to meet those needs.

So we see that once they see the KAI T/A-50 has attained some stability in aerial flight tests, sales orders (their own airforce is the first to place a firm order for over a hundreds of both T-50 and A-50 variants), they immediately plan for the possible turning out of yet another indigenous fighter,
the F-50 (looks rather like a single engine ChingKuo --refer Sep2002 FlightInternational article).

Similar to the S,Koreans, aerospace companies like in our own case, need support and patronage and orders /requests from the RoCAF, and the RoCAF definitely also need support from the ROC govt -- which in a democracy, should reflect the hopes and needs of the people.
So I do hope to see that our own airforce will support our own aerospace industry which in term is supported by a govt with vision and foresight for the nation -- especially with regards to our own aerospace industry.
