早先由 TFE-731 修改為 TFE-1042 時的無後燃器推力為 4260 lb, 最大推力為6790 lb。 第一次大改重新設計為 TFE-1042-7 後,最大推力增為 8300 lb 左右。旁通比 0.84。 第二次修改成 TFE-1042-70 (F125) 構型後無後燃器推力為 6060 lb,最大推力 9500 lb。引擎推重比 7.01 、軍用推力耗油率 0.79 lb/hr/lb、最大推力耗油率 1.98 lb/hr/lb 、 旁通比0.46。 被取消的第三次修改 TFE-1088-12 原訂最大推力增至 12000 lb。引擎推重比超過 8 。 根據網上公開資料顯示,L159 ALCA 用的 F124-GA-100 推力為 6300 lb 、 旁通比0.4、耗油率 0.79 lb/hr/lb。請教各位﹕F124 推力比 TFE-1042-70 無後燃器推力多出 250 lb 左右, 這是否間接證實 TFE-1042-70 服役後的提昇﹖還是無後燃器衍生型推力較大為平常現象﹖ ------- Honeywell has been selected to provide easyJet with avionics suites, auxiliary power units (APUs) and wing anti-ice valves for the 120 Airbus A319 aircraft the UK-based low-cost carrier has ordered. Here at the Paris Air Show (Hall 2B Stand J8), Honeywell also announced other accessory contracts with both the Engine Alliance for the GP7200 engine that is vying for A380 powerplant selections and General Electric (GE) for the CF6-80C2 engines that will power the U.S. Air Force’s Lockheed Martin C-5 transports. Total value of the contracts exceeds $1 billion including options. On another note, Honeywell said it has now run the first production F124-GA-200 engine for the Aermacchi M-346 trainer. With easyJet, Honeywell agreed to supply some avionics equipment on 120 firm-ordered A319s and 120 further options. Each suite includes a weather radar, a Quantum line of communications, a flight management system (FMS), a flight data recorder (FDR) and a cockpit voice recorder (CVR), an aircraft collision avoidance system (ACAS II), a Mode-S transponder, an enhanced ground proximity warning system (EGPWS) and an air data inertial reference unit (ADIRU). The APU model is the 131-9[A]. With the anti-ice valves, the first contract is worth $620 million including options and a 10-year agreement for APU maintenance, Honeywell said. EasyJet has also contracted Honeywell to repair wheels and brakes on its 46 Boeing 737-300s. The deal is worth $17 million. In addition, the value of the accessories Honeywell will provide for the CFM56-5B engines easyJet has chosen is $108 million for 240 aircraft including aftermarket. These accessories include the starter, “various pneumatic control valves and actuators” and the oil fuel heat exchanger. Honeywell is the usual supplier of these for the CFM International turbofans. On the GP7200 turbofan, developed by General Electric and Pratt & Whitney (P&W;) under their Engine Alliance venture for the Airbus A380, Honeywell will provide pneumatic products such as an air turbine starter, an air turbine start valve, high- and low-pressure turbine clearance control valves, a start transient bleed valve, the core compartment cooling valve and an anti-ice valve for the nacelle. Deliveries of the production hardware to GE are scheduled to begin in 2006. On the CF6-80C2 for the U.S. Air Force, Honeywell will provide an air turbine starter retrofit package. First deliveries are expected for 2007. The value of the last two contracts–GP7200 and CF6–is estimated at $290 million over the life of the agreement. ------ |

> Fadec (full authority digital engine control) 我想這就是問題所在 在硬體的構型(configuration)固定的情況下 如果想提升performance 你能動腦筋的 就只剩下controller的設計了 飛機引擎是非線性的動力系統 這個時候 就只有Lyapunov base的controller有辦法解決這個問題 IDF的control law 是由Lear Signal發展的 不過後來被 Honeywell買走了..... |

根據 Jon Lake 的說法﹕ Many felt that the trhust of the TFE1042 was still inadequate and plants were made for a succession of more powerful engines to be fitted. One of the earliest engines to be mentioned as a potential TTFE1042 replacement was the 14,000-lb (62.28kN) Garrett TFE1088 nominated for the IDF II. Efforts ahve also been made to upgrade the existing powerplant as the TFE1042-IPE. One option was the replacement of the existing multi-crystal turbine blade with a directionally solidified crystal turbine blade, or even by a single-cyrstal turbine blade. Either would allow the engine to run at higher termperatures, thereby generating extra thrust. The F125X was another TFE1042 derivative promoted for the IDF, with an increased airflow fan, new high-pressure compressor and turbine, an increased-durability afterburner, a higher-pressure ratio and increased operatiing termperatures. These provided 30 percent extra thrust and 5 percent better specific fuel consumption.
